Why Rockhopper Financial

While I have been a financial advisor since 1999, Rockhopper Financial was established in the fall of 2014 as an independent firm.   The genesis of Rockhopper Financial came from my youngest daughter, Natalie, a lover of all things penguin.  While looking for a unique label, she first proposed the idea of the Rockhopper, a perseverant penguin which builds its nest in rocks and cliffs high above the ocean. Since the bird cannot fly, it wills itself up the cliffs and over the rocks by relying on its beak, its wings and its feet, and of course, its ability to hop over the obstacles in its path.   The trek to the nest and home is not without falls, failures and restarts.    But the Rockhopper always overcomes.    Its determination seemed an appropriate symbol for a financial services firm whose mission is to help clients overcome the obstacles presented in life and reach their goals.
